A plea to please order early for Christmas

A plea to please order early for Christmas

We've got something important to say.

You might have seen in the news that demand for homewares has gone up this year, with us all being at home more.  This has been the case for us too. That's great news for a small business like us, but it does also bring some challenges. Despite forecasting, reforecasting, recruitment and investment, we’re anticipating that we will run out of stock and production capacity well before Christmas.

We’ve stockpiled as much as we can but we’re just not able to get hold of everything we need to produce what we sell to the same standards. We refuse to compromise on the quality of our products by using inferior materials. And, even with night shifts and weekend working, there are still only 24 hours in a day.

Some businesses would react by hiking up their prices to capitalise. We’re not going to do that. We will adjust some slightly to take account of cost increases that have been passed on to us. But we’ll keep our prices fair, and you can still use any discount codes you have. We know it’s tough for a lot of people at the moment.

Instead we will be turning off some products ahead of Christmas. Our Highland Cow has already gone until next year.

So this is a heads up to our loyal customers. If there’s something you’re planning on buying from Bear and Rose in time for Christmas, whether it’s a gift, stocking filler or decoration, please put your order in as soon as you can to make sure we can supply it in time.

We hope this doesn’t come across as a cynical marketing ploy. It’s not. We believe you’d rather hear this now and be able to act, than be disappointed.

Thank you for following or shopping with Bear and Rose, and for supporting us on our journey so far.
